I'll give you my heart :)

This little hearts are made from clay, painted with acrylic paints and then personalized with words, I've chosen I Love You, but you can use any words. If you want to know how to make them check my Butterfly Ornaments tutorial and the only thing you will have to change is the mould into heart shape.

My Baby is one month old

My Little one is one month old, I have to say these few weeks went so quick. He is growing so fast, I had to already put away some clothes that he wore in his first few days, they are too small.
He is a very good baby, he sleeps well at night and we are trying to get into the routine during the day.
As every new Mom I take plenty photos and the one below is one of my favourite that I captured yesterday.

A new baby is like the beginning of all things - wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.

How to make Butterfly Personalized Ornament

To make these little cute butterfly ornaments you will need:
  • air dry clay
  • ice cube mould with the shape of butterflies ( you can always make diffrent shapes if you have other moulds)
  • acrylic paint - choose your colors
  • pernament pen/marker

How to make them:

Fill in the mould shapes with clay , level it and leave overnight or until the clay is dry

Take the shapes out from the mould.
First I painted them both sides with white paint, but if you using white clay , there is no need for that, just move to the next step

Paint the shapes in different colors, choose the one that you like and will look best

Once the paint is dry personalized them.
Write words that you like, names, dates

One of my favourite words is happines, so that's what I've chosen.
After that you just have to find the place to display your crafty work.

Sweet Shot

When the weather permits we go for little walks. The picture below was taken on our first walk with the pram. Sweet photo. He slept through the whole time. However today he woke up and screamed half way back to the house. He was just hungry and because I breastfeed my little baby, he just had to wait until we came back home.

Raspberry Cake Recipe

This past week I am not sure what happened but I baked a lot, I could say almost every day. I am not sure was it because I needed something sweet to eat ever day or because it was quick and easy to make.
So, here's one of the recipes I used this week, simple and quick to make:

Raspberry Cake

you will need:
  • 2 cups of all -purpose flour
  • 6 oz of margarine softened
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • heaped teaspoon of baking powder
  • box of raspberries

Melt the margerine.
In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and sugar,  add eggs and then margerine. Mix it well
Pour the mixture into round cake pan.

Add raspberries. Spread them around

preahet the oven to 350 farenheit (180 celcius)
Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown
turn the oven "off", and leave the cake in the oven for another 5 -10 minutes to ensure thorough baking of the cakes

sprinkle some icing sugar and enjoy!!!

Hope and Faith

Every tomorrow has two handles. We can take hold of it by the handle of anxiety, or by the handle of faith.

Black and White Wednesday
