Thursday two questions

I have two questions for you today. You probably noticed that I post more photos of my children lately but I wonder:

1. Should I be posting photos of my children at all?
2. Do you post photos of your childern/close people from your family?

what's your point of view

Hi Ewa. :)

I post pictures of my children. I figure that we live in a world that is saturated with social media. It is now the norm. I have a 12 year old sister who probably has more pictures of herself on the internet than I do. I think that as long as we protect our children, watermark the images, and then teach them about social media safety in the future, then it's ok.

Personally, I don't post any pictures of butts or other private parts just for privacy sake but I've seen lots of moms who do.

I don't think it's a problem with small children.

There are always sick uses of material taken from the Net.

Unless you have something to hide or are a fearful person, I think it's OK to post your pictice.

Unless you are the leader of a movement that speaks for justice or truth or are a threat to some Pharma or Mega Corporation's pocketbook, you have nothing to fear.

Lovely child by the way,
Mike

I don't have children so I don't know if my viewpoint would be different if I did. I think it's ok to post pictures of your children. I wouldn't post photos of them naked or in the bath, any type of situation where later in life they wouldn't feel comfortable with what I'd done. Em x

I post pictures of my boys all the time. I know of people who don't for fear of someone stealing the photo, but I don't worry about it. Love your photo today. Such a sweet little face! Thanks for linking up.

I do post photos of my family and son. I don't post anything like bath pictures or towel pictures, etc. I don't really worry about stealing the photo...

Beautiful baby! I don't have kids yet, but I am sure I will be posting photo of them. Taking photos is a hobby, and taking photos of children is an art.

Great post. I think this is something that many people don't think about. I don't see a problem with sharing such sweet pictures with the world. While there are some crazies out there, I feel you can post worry free. When your kids are older just prep them for always being aware of their surroundings. Have a great day.

I post my kids all the time. We have only had one instance with another blog that used our last name in the title- it was meant for family but some ppl that don't like my hubs because of his position in the community found it & were looking at it. When we found out it creeped us out- to the point where we deleted the blog & changed everything over to a new one. Now I still post photos but only use their real names on the family blog-

My blog is full of pictures of my kids. Actually I met someone in real life recently who knew my blog. She recognised my kids before she recognised me, due to the number of photos she had seen of them.

I don't post naked/ semi-naked bath pictures though.

Ewa,
My kids are teens, so -- in general, they don't like to be photographed, OR on the blog.

Since I blog more for my own creative enjoyment than to keep in touch with far-away family... I don't really mind.

Occasionally, I will include a photo, but overall, I try to keep personal information/statistics of my children OFF the blog.

Don't know if that helps. LOTS of people have photos of their kids on their blogs. You're not alone. I think you have to go with YOUR gut feeling. ~Sally

I'm right there with you, I been stalked in real life and online. I didn't want to give my real life stalker the ability to shut me out of the world and I don't want bad experiences online to cause me to shut out of the good available with the online community. It's a balance. I am careful what I post and I don't have my posts available for a reader, ect. That's how I find my balance, everyone's is unique

It's hard not to when my blog is a way of sharing with family overseas what we've been up to.

I don't have children, but I do post pictures of my neices and nephew and I probably will post photos of my children if I ever have them.
It's hard to know what to do, but I really love sharing my life through photos with friends that I can't see regularly. I wouldn't want to stop having to do that.
