Snow, Snow, Snow....

We've got some snow, when I say some, I mean a lot like for Ireland. I don't think people here seen so much snow ever. The country is not used to that at all, most of the schools are closed, people can't get to work. But the kids love it.

I love when everything is covered in snow and it's a sunny day, a little bit frosty but not too much, it looks so nice then.

I am linking my image below with Pixel Perfect for Before and After

BEFORE

1.Crop; 2. Adjust midtones; 3. Add contrast - it was done in Microsoft Office Picture Manager

AFTER

My Two questions for you today:

1. Do you get snow where you live?

2. Do you like snow, what do you like about it?

Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. In answer to question 1, no, we rarely get snow in this part of California, and 2, I like to look at snow, especially when freshly fallen, but I don't like to walk or play in it. Too slippery, too wet, too cold.

Beautiful Pics....unfortunately I live in Florida and we haven't had ANY since I can remember in the 80's! *smile* I do like the snow tho...the color and settings it can provide for different areas and subjects...the Beauty of it. Plus I like the cold and it makes extra playtime for the little ones (playing in the snow)
Stay Blessed..

Grate picturs. LOL, that amount of snow looks like we got yesterday, and well NOTHING changes here. HEHE. Where I grew up in NewZeland we didn't have snow. OMG,it would be caois if it ever snows there, its sub tropical weather... I don't know how much snow there needs to be here for schools to close. 1m over night, and that isn' going to happen anytime soon.

OH, I LOVE the snow, not the cold but the snow. I took the kids to play out side yesterday, even though it was dark by the time we got dressed and down into the garden.

Beautiful snow pictures! I guess Ireland is getting all the snow that the US isn't getting. ;)

That's a great edit. It really brings out her sparkly eyes and her pink cheeks.

Such a great edit!

And yes I get snow - and I enjoy it for a moment but wish I was somewhere warmer these days!!!

I am loving all the snow pictures! Although I can't say I'm 100% ready to go out and shovel it from our drive! :) We don't even have a chance of snow until Dec. 11th!

Great edit, the crop made a big difference. Her sweet face is highlighted better.

We only have snow once a year here. But growing I lived in the Midwest and I hated driving in the snow.

We don't get a lot of snow here in Texas and when we do..it's kinda the same as you. Everything shuts down. Fun for the kids though! Looks beautiful!

Living in a place that normally doesn't get snow and then it snows ... it's a very big deal. In Seattle we sometimes get some but the city doesn't handle the roads very well, so it's very inconvenient, even a small amount. But yes, the kids do love it and us photogs go crazy.

The shots are beautiful! We rarely get snow here. I'm not big on the cold weather so that's okay with me. :) Great edit!

Nice photos, I love those rosy cheeks.

Before I read your questions I was going to say your area looks as white as my area right now. We have had snow all day and more coming tonight.

I don't mind the snow and I have no problem driving in it. I lived in Anchorage, AK for years and the snows we get here are not all that much in comparison.

And I love all of your photos.

In Sweden we never closed the schools, and people had to go to work! I love seeing the ground covered in a white blanket. It´s enchanting.
I have lot of childhood memory´s... me playing in the snow? I love it! I´m fascinated in all the seasons. Thank you of sharing your lovely pictures! Stay warm and cozy!/ Anna

I thought you would be getting snow. My kids have been off school for a week now here in Scotland and it's still snowing here. I hope that cordyline in your picture can cope with the cold as most of them in Scotland last winter died due to the cold. Your edit is great Ewa.

I've already put up my post for tommorrow.

We certainly have snow. We get an average of 36-70 inches depending on where you live in the state!!! That first snow is always the most special and we do love having a white Christmas, but after that I'm ready for warm weather again!!!

Beautiful snow pics! I recently moved from Florida (no snow) to Oklahoma where we supposedly can get snow =) I look forward to it!

fabulous shots. I wish we got snow more often. We get it on our mountains and highland areas and occasionally down lower. I would love a white christmas. ATM I am sitting in shorts and tank and I am hot!!

I like what you did to the photo! It is a much better take. I love snow, I don't like the cold, but do like the white flakes and the way it looks when it first falls.

Brrrrrrrrr!!! As much as I hate snow...I have to admit, it sure does make for a heck of an image! I live in Omaha, NE and yes, we get lots and lots of snow....but this year we have been lucky, just a flurry or two (but I bet that means we will get hit big time soon)!

Thanks for stopping by my blog, your comments are much appreciated! :)
